Korea Research Institute of Standards and Science, KRISS
As the National Metrology Institute of Korea founded in 1975, KRISS has developed measurement standards technologies that serve as the source of every scientific technology and industrial activity and provided the technology services at home and abroad.
KRISS is affiliated with National Research Council of Science and Technology (NST) which is under the Ministry of Science and ICT (MSIT) in Korea. Its key mission are described as “Establishment of National Measurement Standards”, “Research and Development of Measurement Technologies” and “Dissemination of National Measurement Standards”.
Role in the project:
KRISS will participate in WP2, where KRISS will generate data on physicochemical characteristics of MCNMs using CLS and will perform in vitro and in vivo toxicological studies with MCNMs. KRISS will be strongly involved in the international collaboration activities between EU and Asia in WP7.
